From memory take fuel cap of undo the pozzy screw and pull out the inner plastic with the flap still attached, pull it from thr latch end so it comes out at an angle.

Put the new rubber in hot water to make it easier to fit, and if like mine they are new old stock so have still been sitting on a shelf for years so are not as pliable as they should be and will still crack a couple of years down the line.

this is for the 2wd so if 4x4 there will be a cable to detach I’m presuming..

Greedy sellers. Mine could do with on but it won't be getting one for that price.

When I had the bodywork done on my car think I paid 15 quid for mine and I thought that was steep for what it is!

that was in 2010, however the car has been garaged since and its been cracked for ages already!

40 quid for a bit of rubber. When I first got my saff painted. I fitted a new seal. About a year later it all cracked again.

As I’ve mentioned on many a post over the years Glenn, although they are new old stock they have sat on a shelf for god knows how long and have already started to harden and deteriorate, I have replaced mine 4 times now and like you said a year down the line they crack up.

If only someone could re make them! I might try using a black sealant next time.
