Afternoon guys. I'm currently rebuilding up the trim in my Escort I got the other week. The car was subject to a full rebuild a while back and had languished since. Only job left was to refit interior trim.
It's been a struggle as a box of bits had gone missing whilst in storage, mainly brackets, small bits of trim and fasteners and it was a bit of a nightmare at first.
I'm over the worst of it now and have now at least driven the car on public roads, over the moon with it.
So, the latest bit I think I must be missing is rear wheel arch interior trim. Is this carpeted lads?
There is an unsightly gap between side trim panel and seat which I assume would be filled by underlay and carpet?
If this is correct does anyone know of where I could buy these please, or is it a case of knock some up myself?
There are other bits I need but obviously cannot post in the wanted section just yet.
Hi dude as for the rear wheel arch covers there a plastic moulded piece which have a carpeted effect on them, eBay would be your best bet they look like this
As for the gap I’m not sure where you mean bud
Many thanks for reply Daz. I have those bits in your pic mate and they are fitted.
Its the carpet for front of arch in the cabin I meant, sorry for confusion. As you can see in my pic mine are bare.
your rear cards appear modified,
as usually the rear card curves over the arch
your right about the inner tub having sound deadening, about 10mm thick and shaped to hug the inner tub ,
