Default Breakdown cover AA/RAC

I’m looking to get some breakdown cover in the next week or so, who’s the best to go with or avoid? I’ll probably end up with the aa or rac, any horror stories?

There will be horror stories from both. It tends to be a case of find the best deal (which will change every year as your provider will always up £££'s on renewal so you end up jumping between them each year)

I have had RAC cover for quite a few years and on the couple of times I needed them they were spot on, friendly and very helpful.

Aa no problems only thing I don't like is the driver radius bollox so if you get relayed in a break down they take you to the edge of thiers then drop you off and you have to wait for another patrol from the next radius I can sometimes be travelling 200 miles a day so not great if I break down do rac do this also?

The 2 times I've needed the RAC they have been bang on, so I stick with them.

Yes because the patrols do not have tacho so can only tow a max 60 mile radius from home address. If it's over 60 miles then rac just put it on a truck for the whole journey

Ive AA I’ve used them a few times to get towed home. Had to stop once while mine was on the back of a truck while the driver had his tacho break. Which was annoying after waiting almost an hour to be picked up
