Engine cutting out when pumping brakes
Hi guys, new to this site. It’s awesome I must say!
I have a recently purchased a series 1 RS. Everytime I pump the brakes the engine cuts out. The revs drop the more I pump the brakes and will cut out. I’ve checked the breathers/vacuums and there aren’t any splits or cracks. I’ve sprayed carb cleaner around but no change to the revs. The servo’s been checked by two different people who have said it’s fine. I’m lost now! Has anyone had similar issues or know what it may be?
Mine person said it may be throttle body but I’m not sure.
Any held would be massively appreciated.
Cheers!

It's normally caused by a split in the diaphragm in the servo. As you press the pedal it flexes the diaphragm and opens the split, allowing air in. This air is then sucked into the inlet manifold and weakens the mixture so much the engine dies. Best way to check is to disconnect the hose to the servo, block it off, start the engine and pump the brakes. If it doesn't stall then it's definitely the servo leaking.
