Default Zetec-S (Sigma) engine into a Fiesta MK3

Hi,
my name is László Filkorn, I live in Hungary. I want to introduce here my project: Fitting a Zetec-S engine (from a Fiesta MK4) into my 1989 Fiesta MK3 1.1 CFi. It's not a simple engine swap, I also need to refurb the body. Some pictures:

It's an interesting subject, I think doing a similar build to increase the reliability of our old Ford with a happy rev engine

Hi Paul,
I used a Fiesta MK4 clutch master cylinder. I modified the original Fiesta MK3 pedal box, aswell the clutch pedal. You can see some pics about it in my second post.
Regards
Laci

The mk3 looked mint in the pics. They can't be many solid mk3s left.

The engine is running.

I've found these newspaper pieces under the floor carpet. The car built in Germany, on 06.11.1989., and registered since new in Hungary...

I was surprised to see that much rust as it looked pretty clean in the first pic.
Keep up the good work.
I wonder how that newspaper found its way under the carpet so early?

That 's cool - is it the 1.25 engine you've gone for? I had a Mk4 with one, and while not fast, it certainly went better than I expected.
