did anybody laugh at the reyland escos with a towbar (but it is coming off)

inner wing looks worse in real life

but it is only metal and is the only real nightmare on the car

This might seem strange but how can anyone let a cosworth get in that sort of condition?

right time for an update, i have welded all new metal into the inner wing

stripped everything off of it, started on the engine bay first as this is where all the grot was

am now about to start underneath.....

still going at it when i find the time, and am starting to source parts now

but i had to drop a few bits on it so i could visualise it and to keep the spirit up

look at this badboy

Default update

Right, i have been a busy boy and got stuck in the last couple of weeks, all the underneath i sand blasted back to metal, i then started stone chipping it all and finished off the engine bay, just needs nibbing off and a top coat in the morning and i can start putting the engine bay back togethor

So here is the floor in stonechip awaiting a coat of the diamond white

Offside rear wheelarch in stonechip with a coat of paint on it

Engine bay now in primer and all ready for a coat of paint

that mullared inner wing all now replaced with new metal and in primer

that rotten innerwing now in a base coat of diamond white...looking shiney

The other side just had to match

here is the engine bay in a base coat of diamond white nearly dry awaiting a quick nib then a top coat in the morning

here is another of the engine bay with a lamp on it trying to keep the moisture off whilst it dries

so as you can see it might be taking forever but i am slowly getting there

tomorrow i am going to finish of the stone chip and stick some diamond white on the whole of the floor...
i am going to start prepping the inside of the boot and then its trim up time

will add some more pics as i get nearer the trim stage

lookin good fella!!

whish i had time money and space to do this to my cars.....one day maybe.....

what paint are you using? 2 pack or cans? compressor powered paint guns? looks good

when you say 'nib off' - are you talkin about knockin the peel texture out of the base coat before laquering? are are you just using base coat?

i used a 1 pack acrylic for the engine bay and underside, with a gun and compressor, yes when i nibbed it off i used 600 paper on the primer to flatten it ready for colour, i am not laquering the paint as its a solid colour and not metalic, it had 2 base coats and one top coat to achieve an even finish
