Hi all, I'm new here and bought a Escort RS Turbo like half a year ago with the money I have earned trough the years and was stocked on my bank account.
I saw a beautiful Escort RS Turbo 89' Spec 90 in Mercury Grey, went for a visit and instantly bought it. But than the trouble began...

We did an oil change, everything seemed normal except there was some glinstering in the oil (I used a magnet to see of it was metal but it wasn't) so I thought there were some problems with the piston rings.
So I decided too take it apart this winter and check out what was wrong, but after like 200km the engine broke down and saw that there where issues with the rods onto the cranck.
One of them was completetly lose and also did we saw a lot of metal grain in the sump (below the oil outlet), also did the turbo has some vertical play.

I decided to take the engine out and completely rebuild it, I contacted Specialised Engines in Essex and they have built my new engine (CVH 1600CC Stage-5).
I read a lot of good stuff but also bad stuff from them but they actually did a great job on mine, checked everything and the engine built was properly done so kudos to them.
Also did I bought a new stage 3 hybrid turbo with the 360° bearing, so at the moment I'm busy with the engine components to rebuilt them and put the engine back in.

MFI system because I want to keep the stock injection in 2018 and maby check to go EFI in 2019 of 2020, I just want a reliable car at the moment for a spin now and than.
Anyway, gearbox is also being rebuilt at the moment but I have an issue with the input shaft, the 5th gear is worn out and need to find a new shaft or find a second gearbox.

I do also bought a lot of stuff like braided teflon lines for the injection, braided lines for the brakes (ABS removed), new Airtec two-row intercooler, radiator, Sparco seats, RSS seatbelts, new molded carpet, new digital clock, flocked interior and black roof-interior,...
Pictures are all on my phone (I'm a photographer but everytime I built something I do forget to take pictures of my creations, thank god some other people take pictures of my works hahahaha)

My daily car is a Ford Focus 2009 Station, stage-2 prepped, CAT-delete, DPF-delete, EGR-delete, RS intake, stage-2 tuned and had several wheels from Bentley to Rotiform, to ATS, to Eta-Beta,...
Also did I built an AIR system for the wagon because there wasn't a AIRRIDE suspension for sale for this car so I built it myself but at the moment back on coilcovers from AP-Sportfahrwerke.
The AIR system has gone to Liverpool, I dropped it off with the new owner when I took the engine with me from Essex (little detour in the UK together with my wife hahahaha)
