Hi this is my first post and wandered if someone could help does anybody know at what point you need to reregister through iva after modifying the shell to go rwd. Thanks in advance

 

You can't submit a car for an IVA test untill it's roadworthy.
It should be IVA tested if it has any modifications to the bodyshell such as FWD to RWD.

However there are thousands of cars on the road which should be tested and haven't been.

 

Ok thanks for that but does that mean you keep the current vin number or have to contact dvla for a new one.

 

VIN stays, it's the only way of keeping track of the shell.
