So normally when I tax my car I like to check on the website a few days after just to see if it’s updated, but the last 2 days whenever I’ve tried to enter the reg number it gives me an error message saying I need to enter it in the correct format? It’s 2001 so it’s like Y123abc, the format it suggests in brackets is CU57ABC. Does that mean you can’t check older cars on there anymore then? Seems abit weird.

anyone with a 2001 or below that can check for me?

i know it’s not a big deal it should have gone through ok, just a habit of mine to check it.

 

Just checked my Y reg mk5 zs, that works on the website

 

It works on my Orion ok
I’m sure it can take up to 5 working days to show online
I’d keep checking though if I was you as I don’t trust the dvla to do anything right

EDIT. It’s working now. What happened is when I started to type the first few letters/numbers my phone automatically suggested my reg number as I’ve entered it in loads of times, so I tapped on that, that’s when it wouldn’t work. So I tried typing the whole thing in manually and it worked. Very strange! got to love technology

 

the saved suggestions never work for me on many sites like eurocarparts as well. I normally have to re enter in manually.no idea why.

 

The saved suggestions usually have a space at the end of the text as you would in a sentence
