Rusting Ford Syndrome
Hi peeps. Trying to fix rust on my old Focus.
What should I do to tackle this?
Pictures are of the seams in the front wheel arch. Why ford didnt use seam sealer
Im worried about the area where the panels overlap. The area is still solid....Believe it or not.
Thank yawl

You can slow it down or maybe halt it with some of the bilt-hamber anti rust treatments and the seal it but I believe the only true way is to cut it out and replace panels / stitch in new metal. It is hard to make out where exactly that is in the front arch but can you unbolt wings etc on the focus?
Thanks for the reply
I already have the bilt hamber gear...Electrox, Deox gel and dynax. Planning on getting their epoxy mastic and seam sealer too.
I am patching a hole as seen
I really dont want to have to split all the seams and tear it all up. I am no body work expert, and this is a learning experience haha

Haha yeah. I'm from Scotland, so it's to be expected. plus she is an 03 plate with 100k on her.
I could scrap it lol but I wouldn't learn. plus the engine is good, and I have done an mtx75 conversion.
