Hi Everyone

I've just purchased a Fiesta Mark 3 1.3 which has been fitted with the 1.8i Zetec engine
which I plan on using for grasstrack racing locally
the car has unfortunately got a burnt out clutch right away which I've managed to source one for
but I'm now planning whether to install the original gearbox or look for something different
are there any stronger gearboxes I could use in this one / factory LSD boxes which aren't going to cost the earth
as its just a hobby of course

stick a rs turbo gearbox on it ,probably cost 250/300 for a decent box

 

Or a ib5 gearbox bit stronger than a rs box and depending on what car you get it out of very similar gear ratios, the escort rs turbo lsd will fit in both but buying a second hand one if you can find one will cost best part of £150
