I stumbled across a set of alloy wheels for the rs500 cosworth (it took me forever to work out what wheels they were) but they need to be refurbished, however i have no idea what the paint codes are or what the original wheels actually looked like, there are images about but some are 2 tone ad some are a single colour?
help would be appreciated!!!
also if anyone would be interested in them once i have had them refurbished i will be selling them.
They are not specific to the RS500.
Same wheel on the standard Sierra RS Cosworth.
You should be able to find loads of decent pictures on the net. Sorry I don't know the codes of the colours or names but the inside of the spokes was a light grey and the face diamond cut.
Wheels refurbed always tended to be a slightly darker grey for some reason, don't know why. Picture is of my spare that had been refurbed, but you get the idea.
Thanks for the reply,
i don't believe they were originally diamond cut! as the car predates diamond cutting tools, diamond drills have been around since the 70's but diamond cutting tools on lathes didn't come about into commercial production till the early 90's.
