Default Ford Mondeo ST TDCI 55 Plate Silver 96k Miles £2495 SOLD

Hi guys, I'm selling my 2005 55 plate Mondeo ST TDCI in Stardust Silver.

It has done 96k miles (verified by VOSA and HPI) and is Mot'd til Feb 2008. The car is totally HPI clear. I can't see it needing anything for its Mot, I guess the only issue might be with it being decatted (see below), unless you have a friendly Mot tester, although it might go through ok.

This is a lovely clean clear and has the following features:

Brand new Eibach Lowering springs, gives the car a great stance and really good handling but still very comfortable, these cost me a lot of money to buy and have fitted.

Twin exit decat Powerflow exhaust, sounds and looks amazing.

Full black ST220 recaro heated leather trim with full electric adjustment. I've also carbon wrapped the gearlever surround and clock surround, and fitted a new leather gear gaiter.

All alloys have been refurbed and to the normal silver finish, not the rot ridden diamond cut finish.

Recently had new brakes all round, new rear hubs/wheel bearings on both sides, and new droplinks.

Comes with 2 keys/remotes.

Price is £2495.

I MIGHT do a deal on something, but it really would depend on what it is. Try me, I'd be interested to know what you've got.

Cheers
Trev.

PS the car is taxed at the moment, so you could drive it home same day before I cancel it if that's of help.

They're actually the Eibach springs that Ford do for the car Glenn, I think I actually bought them from a Ford dealer, I had them a while before I got them fitted so I can't remember 100%.... The result looks ace and it rides spot on. And I think they'll definitely be better than the standard springs, because they seem to break really easily. Every Mk3 I've had so far has broken as least one spring.

If no-one buys it I'll probably lay up my Titanium X Sport for the winter and run this, because it looks great and is really quick!

ps I've also got an ST220 and its definitely lower than that.

Looks a lovely car

Always fancied the ST220 but never got round to buying one, still think they're a smart looking motor.

This is the diesel, seriously torquey (especially being chipped) but still good economy.

I think it's just there's loads of cheap crappy ones around Glenn, and a lot of people would rather pick one of those up than pay for a nice one. I might just run it myself over the winter if no-one wants it.

Whats the service history like Trev? Has it had new injectors at any stage and has the DMF been done?

I've not got a service book as such mate, the previous owner had a bit of a barney with the owner previous and he didn't give him it. The mileages on HPI tie up though, and it's hpi clear.

It doesn't need injectors. Starts up cleanly every time.

DMF I'm not sure. The clutch bites quite low though so I'm thinking it may have had a clutch at some point, although I can't guarantee that. Goes through the gears fine though.

I've been driving it about today, and it drives fine. It is quite loud.

The ABS light has come on, so I'm going to sort that out. I think it may have happened when I did the back brakes. The only other thing I've noticed is the seatbelt warning light keeps coming on, I'm guessing it's something to do with me putting the leather recaros in to replace the standard seats, need to have a play with that too.

If anyone wants it then fine, if not I'll just keep tooling around in it for a bit.

Depending on the year of the car and the year of car the seats came out the wiring may well be different.
I fitted leather to my 54 plate car from a newer 1 and the heated seats would come on on their own.

Lovely car btw,I’d be very interested if it was an estate.

Your seat belt warning light could be the seat belt catch/storke or even wiring.

Check to make sure your abs sensors are plugged in correctly too.

Yes, I'll be having a play. Been out in it this morning and it's really decent motor. Does everything it should. Exhaust is loud but not mega ridiculous. Looked nice sat in the car park in town. Just a bit different to the sea of euro boxes.

Can't believe anyone wants this, it's a great car.

pm me or email direct to tjatkin@ntlworld.com

Might consider a p/x but it really would depend what it was. Try me though, I can only say no. I would want cash my way though. It owes me a lot more than the price.

Anyone fancy this car, might do a deal on a Mk1 Audi TT, some sort of MX5, or even perhaps a Mitsubishi GTO!
