Did you go over to NI to view this car or is it for sale here? If it is in such good nick why didnt it start up? Seems odd to me advertising a car for sale and when someone comes to view it wont start!

I dont get it, this car is obviously for sale at a lot more than £11k but it doesnt even run, I would be telling the seller to stick it up his arse as its a piss take. Who knows whats wrong with it and how much it may cost to get it running right!!

But it might be a flat battery?

If the car is 35k running, then its not going to cost 24k to fix it, or anywhere near, even if it needs a new engine

So if you are trying to sell a car for £35k you cant be arsed to make sure the battery is charged and the car starts first time!

New this reg rung a bell, I went to look at a few across the water down south and decided to go have a look at this, the fella only wanted £14K but it was a left hand drive one I couldn't put together something about his grandfather converted to LHD to move or something was confusing the life of me so I left it but it run and drove like a new car and I couldn't be annoyed having to convert it back.

Think it used to be Dan's car fellas

If I'm reading this thread correctly and were talking about a straight Escos then its worth more than 11k without an engine! So who cares if it runs or not.

No idea I'm just saying I wouldn't pay £11k for a car that dosent run, some people would and some people wouldn't, I'm one that wouldn't

But if its worth 35k when running then it doesn't matter if you pop the bonnet and the engine is missing, it will not cost you anywhere near 24k to fix.

Maybe true but I don't buy cars for £11k with engines missing I'll leave that to the people who will take that gamble, as I said that's just my personal view, I don't buy and sell top end cars and have no clue what all these rs models are worth as that dosent interest me, only when I hear someone offering £11k for a car that dosent run then I don't class them as taking the piss I class them as taking a gamble. Just my view anyway!

Does anyone know how much this is advertised for? To me if its up for a lot of money then it should be running perfectly and I would be pissed off if I had gone to view it and have a test drive and when I get there its a non-runner. Surely if the seller is after a top price he would make sure it STARTS!!
If its a project car then advertise it as one and lower your expectation on the price.
