Advisory notice item(s)

Offside Front HUB COMPONENTS CORRODED
Offside Front Inner Front constant velocity joint gaiter damaged, but preventing the ingress of dirt (2.5.C.1a)
exhaust corroded

just a bit curious it went in for mot it failed 6 days later it passed?

and one thing thats got me kind of worried on Advisory notice when it failed was

"Nearside Front Body or chassis is damaged, seriously affecting its strength within 30cm of the body mountings chassis leg (6.1.B.2)"

does that mean the chassis is bent? should i be worried? as it passed 2nd time.

thanks in advance

Its cat C, so more than likely the 'damage' is due to a shunt than rust.

I personally would look for something else if not 100% sure.

rsguy. What car is this and what mileage has it done? It would put me off buying it, to have passed within 6 days of failure on such a major front body or chassis damage means someone must have done a lot of welding etc to get it through. Hard to know unless you can find out exactly what was wrong and what has been done to rectify it.

cossynut its a ford buddy only covered 21k miles and its 2011 plate. trouble is hard to try find out exactly what was wrong and what has been done to it. as seller not exactly going to say if hes selling it.

Low mileage so it's probably spent a fair while off the road. Walk away from it imo.

If its a 2011 plate that should rule out any rust issues so it must have been involved in quite a heavy front end crash. How do you know if the chassis damage has been done right? The seller should be up front with you about the damage unless he is trying to hide something!
If it is not being sold for a real knockdown price I would be looking elsewhere. There seems to be a lot of potential problems which may end up being a right pain.
