Default Auxilary shaft pulley

I've got cambelt & crank pulleys off now and want to remove the auxilary shaft pulley. Problem is, it's not coming off! Ford manual says it's only 45 Nm and it's not coming off? Is there something I've missed or could it just be that tight?

Is that the oil pump/distributor drive pulley you mean?
Mine came off no problem.
The alternator pulley needed a 3 legged puller to come off its shaft and the crank pulley is always stuck and needs heat and persuasion to come off-from experience!

Yes the distributor pulley.

I guess I need to crank it even harder or have 2nd person for the job to help.

My bolt slackened off no problem.
Is there not hex shaped flats on the pulley to hold with a spanner like there is on the cam pulleys?

Yes there is. It's a bit awkward to hold it with big spanner in one hand and try to open the bolt with ratchet on the other hand as it seems to be very tight. I'll have a new try today.

Can't offer any other advice except the obvious, let the spanner come round till it hits the inner chassis rail then use both hands to pull the ratchet, anti clockwise too.
Good luck

It came off pretty easily with 2nd person helping lol. Two hands on the spanner while other one was wrenching the bolt open was a lot easier.
