Hi All


I have a problem with my beloved MK4 mondeo and was wondering if anyone can help with the issue.


The problem is that the car drives fine up under 30 mph, but as soon as I have to hit country lanes or motorway, then as soon as it goes over 40 mph the car loses about 500 revs for a few seconds and then picks back up idly to 70.


If I can keep a constant speed on the motorway/country lanes then the issue doesn't occur, but if I have to slow down to 30/40 then the car does the same thing again for a few seconds.


I was just wondering if this is something someone has experienced before and is a simple fix or whether to get mechanic to take a look.
