Hello everybody there, i've got a MK1 1999 1.6 ford focus, and i would like to know which mods can be done to upgrade it.
I've already improve it with koni coilovers and eibach springs.
I do not know if the mods done to the 1.6 of the mk5 fiestas can also be done on my engine.
Sorry if this topic has already been written, I´m new round here, and I´m from the basque country so I also apologise for my English if it´s not okey, I listen any kind of mods, handling, power, lightweight...

Yeah all the same engine mods that can be done on the fiesta can be done to the focus as well but you would be far better off going for a 2.0 or st170 engine conversion tbh.

Brakes are a good starting point with st170 setup which rears are the same as rs and you need the st170 front hubs to upgrade to rs ones.

Looks wise most people either go for st170 looks or collection bodykit. If you want to splash out you can go for svt usa focus looks or rs looks.

Its really down to how much you want to spend tbh.

O.C Motorsport offers a kit with cams ,exhaust andore things, I tried to contact them bia email but they did not answer me , anyone here has fit thar kit in their engine?

I also would like to know if instaling the st anti-roll bars would be noticeable.

The main problem is that here in the basque country ther are not many st170, so engine, ecu, gearbox...are quite expensive, and if you find them, they are usually crap.

Because of that, an the good shape of my engine, (it's less than 115.000 kilometers, a bit more than 70.000 miles) I would like to stay with this block, which is light and does not drink too much.

I visited the page os OC Motorsport, an they have a kit for the mk5 fiesta zs, i send them an email, but they did not answer to me, i would like to know if anyone has fit the kit into their car, and how well does it work.
they also have a supercharger kit, but do not know if it would fit into my 1.6, mine hasnt got variable valve timing, the fiesta mk6 1.6 does.

Anyone here in passionford has put a turbo into the 1.6 zetec??
