hi everybody,
i am trying to piece together the history of my escos, which has a 909 shell, first registered on the 8/11/95 as N648COP and then N27GBM and 10MPE before being exported to ireland in august 2002.
It has, raven leather interior, opening rear quarters, electric windows, central locking, morettes and air conditioning and is in very good overall condition having had engine/gearbox overhauled and lots other work done.
As this seems to have been built up from a trimmed shell,is it worth making it mint as it could with an underneath refurbishment and dont know whether to keep spending money on it.
I would appreciate any help or pics or indeed a sense of direction.

As they get rarer I doubt the 909 shell will really matter and if you plan to keep it a while then get on and enjoy it. It is only the really mint low miles and original cars that make the really silly money, after that the more normal cars won't be that far apart on values.

Ah its that's the case then you wont be able to decode the VIN I am afraid, you can only do that with a Ford one.
The SAB Vins were issued by DVLA for built up vehicles, whether they be new builds or Q platers, people back then did not realise you could in fact formulate your own unique 17 digit VIN rather than use a SAB one, that's what I did with my 3dr build.
As Caddy says, in time it wont make much difference with usable examples what there back story is, it will all be down to condition.
