Engine rebuild/build started for cosworth 4x4 sprint car
Hello,
Started my first full engine rebuild/build.
Car will be used for the 1/4 mile sprint.
The plan is to build a strong block for around 500bhp with a twin scroll turbo.
But for now I am aiming for around 380bhp with my t34.63 turbo.
The Base will be a ybg 200 block with ductile liners to standard bore and oil spray jets.
High pressure wrc pump from button's.
Arrow conrods.
Standard crank with mahle motorsport bearings and arp main stud and nut kit.
Cosworth rally pistons (7.2/1 compression ratio).
Cometic mls 5-layer head gasket and cometic engine seals.
Baffled big wing sump.
Remote oil filter housing.
Accusump for pre start oil pressure.
The head is also 4x4 mild port and polish.
Bd14 inlet cam and standard exhaust cam.
Looking into the supertech oversized valves but not much info about these on the forum. Comments appreciated.
Double valve springs and high rpm dlc coated tapets from turbosport.
2wd exhaust manifold.
4x4 inlet with 14mm spacers.
Billet fuel rail.
Engine management will be the KMS md35.
1250cc injectors.
Wide band lambda sensor.
Exhaust temperature sensor.
4 bar map sensor.
Can display to monitor all engine parameters and gives alarms when something goes wrong.
Engine knock monitor.
New engine loom.
For cooling I will be using a pierburg electric water pump and no thermostat.
Controlled by the tecomotive-tiny cwa controller.
I am looking in to the idea for reverse flow cooling. Any comments appreciated.
Alu radiator and rs500 intercooler.
Small turbo radiator.
Probably forgot something so will update as the build progresses.
