Ok love the group and all you ford lovers and hoping for a little help with the old escort rs1600i .... ok here goes..problem is turns over fine cold or warm but when up to temp its just turning over and won't start.. so far I've put a new one way valve on the fuel pump and a new fuel sender on, it's running the original mfi unit but on standard coil checked all rubber hoses and sealed any holes... my next purchase was to be a fuel pressure gauge fitted some were, other than that I'm in Rotherham and could probably do with the help of some one in the know as to how to test the fuel unit ....... please help

 

have you checked the accumulator?

 

Hi markie I've got a spare accumulator and hope to try that next also I've noticed the fuel return to tank is blocked off not sure how much difference that makes

 

So after much investigations it was the fuel warm up regulator at fault.... sent away to be made like new... I'm told
