Default Tyre size on front of saff

I have 17"x8" wide wheels in et35 on my sapphire.

They have 215/40 17 tyres and I have rolled arches.

Will I get away running a 225/45 profile on the front?

The car is on konis and not mega low

Cheers Paul

Theyll likely rub on the arch liners at the front when you have steering lock on, and probably rub arch.
I've got 225/35 17 on my road wheels (actually.. as in my sig below), same as std wheel tyre combo diameter. Probably give you an extra inch clearance in comparison.

I don't mind taking the arch liners out if I'm honest.

So your 225's are ok?

Don't see many with 35 profiles on 17's

Don't forget that the profile is actually a percentage of width which means a 225/40 is taller than a 215/40
225/45 would be too tall IMO.

Good point, I could look at a 225/40 then.
It's only cos I'm going 225/45 on the rear and with a 215/40 on the front I think it'll look a bit too stretched

My advice would be do a trial fit on the wheel and tyre combo if you can as you dont want the tyres rubbing on the arches especially on full lock on the front.
