Default Rattle noise from engine. Focus 02 1.6 auto

Hey guys hope someone can help, got a 02 Focus 1.6 auto. Theres an odd rattling/vibrating noise when accelerating, it sounds like the heat sheild rattling but defo aint that. It gets noisier when revs get higher. Ive held engine on jack to rule out engine mount. Noise sounds like its coming from alternator/aux belt area. Any help appreciated. Noise doesnt change in gear or neutral

To test the tensioner remove the aux belt and see if the noise has gone.

That said stretch belts were starting to be phased in around 2002 so it might not even have a tensioner.

Hello, Having done 4 off these now only 1 tensioner was working all the others were stuck so that when the belt stretches it squeals, none rattled

On the st170 that I am playing with at the moment the rattle was the over braid on the exhaust flexi joint, also had rattles from the heat shield over the steering rack in the past

Suggest getting under the car and have a listen, going to be something loose
