Do kugas TDCI engines have anti shudder valves !
I have been reading here and there and a few focus owners with similar issues to what our kuga as and with their TDCI engines it turned out to be that it was the anti shudder valve sticking..
They solved the problem by rubbing the valve edge with sand paper.....

Just a thought thats all....
