hi there, since changing my engine for an rs2000 16v from 1.6 CVH, my fuel gauge doesn't work, we done all the wiring etc etc and got the engine running sweet, pumping fuel from tank to engine via the in-tank fuel pump yet the gauge reads nothing, it doesn't even move, so what wrong?

 

unplug the engine temp sender see if it starts working if there different values can cause probs is the temp gauge playing up as well the earlyer fords would do this if the reastat or temp sender was wonky only an educated guess
