Orion with ITBs and Omex 600
My orion has been having Omex 600 and Jenvey ITBs fitted to replace the previous carb setup. The car was running DCOM carbs, but these were proving unreliable and were spoiling the car.
Most of the work has been carried out by Phoenix Automotive Technology, including rewiring the entire engine bay with a bespoke loom. They have done a fantastic job.
Sadly, on the final power run, the engine started knocking, so although the work has been done, I am still left with a car that I cannot drive!
I need to decide if I am going to get the bottom end rebuilt, replace it with another bottom end, or change the engine for something else. However, before I get on to that, I am going to complete the rewiring of the instruments and the other interior wiring.

Fantastic looking car, and all looks very serious!
I would take the opportunity to put a 2.0 Zetec in and put the throttle bodies onto that. They really work well together!

Many thanks.
Sorry, I should of said, it is already a ZVH'd with a 2.0 bottom end.
I think I am tempted to get another 2.0 bottom end and ZVH it again to make it work, and then get a more serious 2.0 zetec built in the future.

Why don't you use an ST170 bottom end? Higher compression and supposedly stronger internals.
Nicely done. I have Jenveys in my MK6 GTi and it get's mighty hot under the bonnet. There isn't room for the pipercross airbox so I have made my own. Tested with and without to ensure it didn't restrict and it works really well to keep intake temperatures low and consistent.
It was 152bhp @ 4600rpm (at the wheels). About 10bhp more than with the carbs.
This is with headwork, kent 22 cam ITBs, Omex 600 and essentially a standard 2.0 Zetec-E bottom-end
