S2 RST won't start without pushing flap down?
Hi guys I've had my S2 for a few weeks now it has had a mis-fire and low revs and on boost, but it broke down the other day, I have got it back so i can start ticking off boxes to get it sorted, pump relay, pump, timing, adjusted the lifters (has soild) etc. I can only grt it to run with the flap held down and it still sounds like it misses when i rev it (don't need to hold the flap once running) the flap does bounce when it sounds like its missing if that makes sense?
Been pulling my hair out so any help would be great

I had a similar problem with mine a while ago. Needed the flap under the air filter held open to run.
I ended up removing the small block on the metering unit where the 4 red pipes that go to the injectors bolt too and changing it for a spare I had. It's held on by 3/4 small Torx bolts I'm sure.
Could always try removing it and making sure the fuel galleries are clear and not blocked up.
Just a thought. Hope you get it running.
I recently changed from MFI to EFI Defo worth a look these days as parts for the old system are getting hard to come by.
