recently bout a 2003 1.8 ford focus lx and the engine went on me cant get a replacement anywhere in ireland only can find a 1.6 engine what would i need to get to convert it to 1.6 any help will be greatly appriciated

 

A lot of messing about and a heck of a lot of different parts I'm sure.

You will prob need full engine and gearbox, wiring loom, ecu, mountings coolant hoses and all manner of other parts.

Can you not just get a engine shipped over from mainland uk?

 

As said, a lot of work. The inlet and exhaust are on opposing sides, so you would need another exhaust.

The suspension is different as well.
