Can anyone help I have the above on my car and the previous owner never installed a mechanism to open the boot, I have got hold of a solenoid from a late spec escort put this only seems to push. How have you wired up your boot release? what parts did you use?

Not done it myself mate however, i have read on here that someone had used the boot release solenoid from a Fiesta XR2i to pop the boot lock open.

 

get the mondeo boot lock an run the petrol/boot pully to it

 

If i remember rightly the Orion Ghia had some sort of electronic boot release system, my mate had this setup on his RSi which had a delocked tailgate
