Default Any auto electricians about?

I have a problem with a classic car, it has been over-volted! in other words a battery charger was connected without a battery on the vehicle, the result was the charger run away up to 18v, it blew the radio, and I am wondering what else may be affected ie the ECU? I have sparks at plugs when cranking engine but the electric fuel pump is not getting power (It's a brand new pump)
Does the ECU control the power to fuel pump?

The car is a 1989 Ford Sierra Sapphire DOHC fuel Injected, it has not been run for 12 years and stored in the open mostly under cover, it is being "Re-Commissioned" for the road, but has a number of electrical issues I'm working through'
If the plugs are firing does that mean the ECU is ok?

Thanks

Yes the eec-iv ecu controlles the pump via a relay.

It switches the earth side of the relay and monitors the pump running.

The ecu is normally very hardy. I've seen a reverse polarited one blowing a few functions but it still ran afterwards.

Put a battery on it and make sure you have all positives and negatives connected they have a few..

The positive has fuse links in the wiring check these.
