I have found that the alarm does not sound when alarm is activated. just indicators flash. i swapped the alarm siren for one purchased off ebay, still nothing.. there is no fuse , so my only conclusion is that there is a problem with the gem module.

I have read that if i do a gem swop, i have to go to fords to get it reprogrammed ????

or will a direct like for like replacement from ebay be ok??

What would i need to do with a direct swop ???

Having just looked at the wiring harness , i have noticed that some of the wires have melted ????
is this a ford recall ????

 

What year focus is it? Melted wiring doesnt sound good!
