Hi, I have lost (mislaid) my Key for my Mondeo TDCi 52 reg. Problem is it was the only one I had

I believe I am right in saying it's a trip to Ford so they can relieve me of £160 ?

I saw on ebay you can buy 'uncut' ones but I guess that is no good to me as I don't have a spare.

I also read that it is possible to re-code a key yourself (see below)

But again as I lost the only key, assume that is not an option either ?




To set the code:

With the key in the ignition, turn the ignition on to the I position, then off and then again three times, then once more and leave it at I (a beep will sound showing that the system is set to program).

Now press the unlock button on the remote (press the unlock button on any other remotes that you have to program at the same time).

Now turn the ignition off (a beep will sound indicating that program mode is finished).
