On the second vid I don't think the police should be driving at over 130 mph for some one speeding at just over 100mph, what they were doing was more dangerous than the driver, fair enough they are trained but there is a big difference between 30 mph over the limit and double the limit, they do it for the thrill if you ask me, I would agree if he was being chased for a crime etc but speeding? I'm sure if they had called ahead they could have easily cut him off

They need to do whatever speed they need and see fit to catch up. It takes a big differential of speed to make a difference.

I agree but I feel they took to much risk for the crime in this case, what they did was more dangerous than the driver had someone else pulled out, had it been a very quiet road I would say go for it but it wasn't

2nd video is very well known. Its common knowledge who the Cosworth driver is within the RSOC, but as expected no one will say who.

it could go either way , imagine if the police backed off and let him carry on speeding and hed crashed and killed someone. the police would be hammered for letting him carry on. dammed if they do dammed if they don't if something goes wrong.
I got stopped once in my cosworth powered celica purely because the traffic policeman had owned one of those old celicas and knew they weren't turbo charged but had heard my dump valve. if he hadn't had been with a younger officer that was giving me the daggers id have convinced him to race his police T5 against me in the local industrial estate
you tend to find the traffic officers are also petrol heads.

It was different years ago.....we used to have a laugh with traffic cops...it was the wanna be s in panda cars that were annoying......you could have a bit of fun..( within reason) and get a telling off......not nowadays...

I know who it was,no great secret really.Towbar would have been for towing other RS cars and bikes around knowing the owner.
Being from the far north of Scotland I wouldn't think he'd have been that well known in the RSOC really.Never know though I suppose
