I have a September 86 s2 D plate. I would like to know if door mirrors where black plastic or colour coded? Also would there of been a coin tray right hand side of steering wheel? Any other early s2 differences? Thanks for any info will be very helpful.

 

Coin tray fitted as standard on all S2. Fuel computer fitted as optional extra. Manual wing mirrors fitted as standard on all S2, these were colour coded.
Heated electric operated mirrors fitted as optional extra, These were unpainted. Obviously optional equipment changed to standard equipment as the years passed.

For extra info early S2 came with XR3i seats as standard as Recaro seats were only fitted as an optional extra.

I see you are new to the forum/ownership. You'd best of getting info on your car by joining up to the RSOC.

No problem, You'd missed out on quite a bit of merchandise for your S2, But if you're quick enough you can get some nice stuff. Only obtainable from the RSOC. I arranged a 30th anniversary plaque a couple of months ago. It flopped big time on this forum, but a success on RSOC.
