Default Straight Cut Gearboxes x 2

I have two gearboxes for sale.

First is a bara straight cut gearbox complete unit removed from my escort cosworth. The gearbox has covered 4000 miles and in excellent condition. The box has been removed and had a check over from bara 1500 miles ago. Majority of the miles since is predominantly motorway miles and 4-5 track days. The gearbox is built up in a MT75 casing, shot peaned straight cut gear set, built to standard ratios with heavy duty mainshaft. The box has been modified for a hydraulic clutch. This is a complete bolt in and go gearbox it would only require your own preferred gearknob and some gearbox oil and away you go! £2500 ono

Second box is a brand new Oppliger close ratio box only recently built. It has been successfully run in and had a running in gearbox oil change. It has covered 2 laps at Spa before an alternator failure called time. Since I am contemplating another of Romains new 6 speed sequentials. As said this box has covered 50 running in miles and is under Romains warranty. The box deemed extremely costly €3750, €300 fitting €250 delivery, a 6 month wait and a donor box needed. The donor box like all are used items and unfortunately like most its hard to test there condition until they are fully stripped and needed a new Hy-Vo chain. To save time (Romains not the quickest) the box was sent to bara where he had to reset the VC centre diff to 60Nm £280, Vc planet carrier assembly £60 and the new Hy-Vo chain £250. Including labour and others another bill of £888 to have the donor boxes centre diff and chain rebuilt. In total costs involved in this box £3420 by todays exchange rate, £300 for a donor box, £888 rebuilding the donor total costs equated to £4608. It has since been modified for use with a hydraulic clutch. Asking for £3900 ono again everything needed to bolt in and go. Every mechanical part of the gearbox has been replaced this literally is as close to an actual new gearbox, no 6 month waiting list and can be tested as still fitted in the car.

Only reason I am selling both is to consolidate and go for a sequential now. Contact Tim 07720 635195

Damn...just dropped over £6k on a new oppliger box all in inc donor, picking it up on Friday. Exact spec as yours. that is a great price and would save a lot of delays.

If anyone buys it and if you don't have the front prop spacer I can provide one as it came with my box but I had a new prop made to suit
