I've been wondering, since the cabin air box on an A/C Sierra looks the same as the one in a Scorpio, would the filters from a 1995-1998 Scorpio fit inside. Anyone tried?

I know, easiest thing in the world to try it myself, but there were no A/C bug-eyes in the nearby wreckers. I'd feel right silly if I ordered new filters just to find out they're useless for me.

 

a/c filter for sierra would be rare in uk-last of cossies...
a patient search through e.bay/google should give you relevant dimensions of each

 

I don't think any Sierra ever had a cabin air filter fitted from Ford, so that's why I was wondering if the housing has the space for them anyway. The ones in the Scorpio have a made-up look to them too, using 3 elements instead of a single one for example.
Will have to open the lid and measure I guess.
