Hi all -

I'm just gauging interest at this point but I'd like to arrange a group shoot/feature at Santa Pod to celebrate 30 years of the S2 RS Turbo!

How many S2 RS Turbo owners would be up for coming to Santa Pod to be part of the feature/photoshoot?

Please let me know if you're interested by replying to this thread, and if there is enough interest I will look to take it further

I would love to spectate, date dependant, unfortunately I have a turbo cab and not a actual s2.

I will look at possible dates and see what I can come up with. One idea was to hold it at Santa Pod the Saturday before Classic Ford Show, so Sat 4th June. But I need to conform this with Santa Pod and the event organisers before I can go any further.

Failing that it will be in the first 2 weeks of June, but will be on a weekday.

Unfortunately this will have to be a static photoshoot only, so no chance for shootouts or performance testing I'm afraid

I'd come down but probably wouldn't be able to do a weekday. Why not do it at Classic Day, out of the way somewhere?

I'd be interested in this and should be able to sort a few more cars from kent depending on dates.

 

Actually, I probably won't be at Classic Ford now so hopefully another weekend.

 

UPDATE---

I have spoken with the organisers of Classic Ford Show and, numbers dependant, we could be looking to do the feature photoshoot during the afternoon of Saturday 4th June (the day before CFS).

Then, in addition to this, all cars in the photoshoot would be invited to join a special '30 years of the S2' display within the show itself.

That means I would be able to offer 2x entry tickets to CFS plus camping for the Saturday night for those interested.

Obviously, this would depend on numbers - I would love the say the more the merrier but due to space issues we may have to cap the number of cars involved (to say, 10-15).

Please let me know who is interested in this, and I will put a provisional list together to take to the organisers to see if we can make this happen!

 

Any reason why the members from the RSOC aren't invited to this photoshoot/feature?
There's no thread on that forum, There's some great cars on that forum that members don't use PF. The 'event' would get a great advantage inviting those members too.

 

Is it standard cars you're look for Jamie, or a spread of cars from standard to wild?

 

Gutted I can't do the 4th of June as I've got my sisters wedding. If you change the date let me know as I've just finished restoring my car and to get it in a mag would have been a dream come true for me and my dad as he helped me.

 

yep - I simply haven;t got round to putting a post on there yet. lol!

It's on my list of things to sort out next week, but please feel free to let the guys know about the possible dates etc..

all sorts! It's going to be a celebration of the S2, so everything from factory-fresh to mental machines!

I must admit I wouldn't want a load of standard cars and only one or two modded ones, but a handful of standard cars among a selection of tuned ones will work well

Hi guys - thanks for the response

To avoid me losing details (and not knowing who's who) can I ask those that are able to make the photoshoot and CFS to email or PM me. I will need your name, reg number, email address, and forum name (so I can see who's who).

I am also looking the option of expanding the selection on show at CFS, so for those that might not be able to make the photoshoot on Saturday, they can still be a part of the display on Sunday.

I really appreciate the enthusiasm and understand why people would suggest alternative dates, but given my deadlines, what else we have planned throughout the summer, and previous experience of trying to shoot separate features on a show day I still feel that Saturday 4th June is our best option for this one.

Fill my inbox up with names and reg numbers and I'll see what we can make happen
