Default ZVH Cambelt Lift?

Here is a question for you peeps with experience of ZVHs. What is your belt life like?

Now, I know that the CVH is hardly known for long lasting cambelts ; Christ they were known to snap before the 36,000 mile interval until the PTE came along. I remember my dad changing the belts on his CVHs every 2 years or 25k, which seemed to be a safe policy.

However, what I want to know is how long have most of you had out of your ZVH belts and do they run on the outer edge of the cam pulley? I ask as I am considering changing mine this year after 3,000 miles but am wondering if I am playing it too safe!

This time I plan to change the tensioner and the water pump with a NOS item. So far the belt has been on around a year and has covered 3,000 miles.

Yes they all run on the outer edge (or close to in comparison to cvh anyway) due to the adaptors/spacers etc used in various places.
I change mine every 2 years personally, but then i did on my CVH too. This is usually around the 25k mark. Visually they give me no reason to change, but its a 20min job and I'd rather the assurance
