Hi guys I've noticed my cosworth only boosting to about 16psi instead of 21psi, not sure if it's related but I'm sure my Amal valve used to click when I turn ignition on. What voltage should I have at the valve and also should I hear it click when turning ignition to position 2?

Mine clicks on ignition and it should as far as I'm aware. Can't remember what voltage....d'oh. Maybe the actuator has weakened and not opening / closing as it should.....just a thought.

I checked voltage and I've got nothing there on ignition but when running it's got 12v on the black and red wire. I'm sure mine used to click every time too

 

From memory I think 12V should be there when the car is running and the ECU switches the GND for boost control. It should click, I'd say if it's not clicking, it is kablamo'd. Just did a quick search on here and somebody said the resistance should be 20 - 50 Ohms.
