Default cossie head ache

after starting the car up it idles fine for 30 seconds then more or less cuts out, the revs then pick up and carry on idling fine for another 30 seconds. ive been looking on other posts and things like water temp sensor and air leaks keep coming up. any advice will be much appreciated.
how to do a air leak test, how to check iscv/water temp sensor
cheers

I would say eliminate the ISCV first, by simply disconnecting it.

You will have to open the throttle slightly, unless it has been running a while, otherwise it will stall.

If it were an air leak it would do it all the time, assuming you have got it up to temperature?

You can do, or disconnect and then start it. You will need to open the throttle a little though.
