Looking for ideas on what YOU believe to be a 'must own' car.
I'm looking for something from the 80's/90's...
Will only be used on weekends in the summer time.
Could be a hot hatch or a super tourer or, well, anything really.
So let's hear you ideas and show pictures too if pos
Cheers, Billy

I'm a fan of cav turbos,
My old one

Cab able cars, very subtle, shame a lot of rep mobiles.
They are six speed, Will do 150+, transfer box is garbage but locking them is straight forward either with 5 cut to size cogs or bolts.
Red tops are great engines, suppose that's the cosworth guys influence as they were involved, origionally meant to be called the cavalier cosworth,, but ford pulled rank and blocked the name.

I've read that you want the c20let with the 'coscast' head? Cosworth head that has a thick wall between oil and water jackets?
Yours looked a lovely car mate btw

Ideally yes coscast head is the one to try and get. The problem that c20xe +let engine have a weak spot on the water channel and you end up with yellow Mayo cooling system, not all gm heads do this and once modified it will be fine you can get the diy sleeve kit, straight forward to do but most have had it done by now. CTOR forum is the place to have a butchers at.

Some great cars listed so far
Budget could be up to about £10k but don't want to buy anything that will lose loads in value as I'll most probably sell it after 6 months.

Not a fan.
Everyone wants dreamland money for them now.
Mate of mine had one of the most powerful celica gt4 in the country. 588bhp at the wheels!
Very nice cars.
Like S1's but again dreamland money
