Down at the local scrappy this morning and i found a frogeye wrx scooby.
Anything worth getting? I don't Know what seats were fitted 'cos the bugger
is up high.
Anyone Know what kind of optionals were fitted, maybe Recaros?

If fitted, any genuine sti parts. Worth a few Ł's and will be able to sell on all day long

 

If its an sti it should have a 6-speed gearbox. Get the full running gear, box, shafts, hubs, diff etc and thats worth 2-2.5k if all working. DCCD worth more too.

Front Brembos go for Ł450 if decent
High rear spoilers sell well too.
Seats should be recaro if an sti, not sure what the wrx has, think they are still recaro tho.

I had a bug eye - round headlight 2001 reg UK300, that was a little different to the norm with kit, interior and wheels.

It's pissing down Here at the moment but next monday i've Got to go back so i'll snap a few photos. One thing i forgot to mention, the car has no alloys and it's Got 4 piston calipers, not Brembos though, Subaru written on them instead.
The model isn't the saloon Version, it's a wagon wrx Version.

 

If the engine and gearbox are still in it, which I doubt, the 6 speed box is worth from Ł1400 alone, engine from Ł1200 upwards.If its a Prodrive model it will have upgrades as well. If its complete and you have the time and somewhere to strip it providing you can buy it cheap you will make money on it.

 

Subaru calipers,not an sti.
Prob just a wrx meaning there's prob nothing tasty on it.
If an sti then brakes,intercooler,strut brace,gearbox etc are worth getting.

 

If its an STI, take the lot! Will sell on well or give a good base for a tasty project.

 

unfortunately it sounds nothing special. when i upgraded to brembos i shot blasted the subaru callipers and cleaned them up and fitted new dust seals, sold them for Ł120 un painted

might still be worth having a look tho as you never know whats been done. if its got a red inlet manifold on it, its from the STI, so might have a better specced engine etc.

 

Probably fucked engine and rotten shell, wrx bits are not overly valuable

 

Ah if its only a WRX, not too much worth bothering with.
