There is a place in Cornwall, Bodmin I think, that does exchanges. Maybe one of the rs team in Cornwall could help?

It's Kelly Bray Steering in Cornwall. On a swap over basis. Ł150 for a 4x4 one. Was really good service and quality products.

Thanks for the advice, Burtons are closest to me but it sounds like Kelly Bray have a good rep ...

Ford used to sell a kit to do it yourself, around Ł30 I think, not that hard to do, I rebuilt a couple and am no mechanic.

Go on Mark, do it!

I was on about sending mine away and my old man (engineer at sea) said 'For fucks sake -it's a steering rack, it's not rocket science'

I haven't sent it away, but I haven't touched the rack either - don't wanna disapoint my old man

I think Wes on here with the 24v Saff is reconditioning his right now.

You do yours with a little guide, then i'll do mine

I don't have the time or inclination, would much rather send it away and have it come back fixed, painted and tested !

Try Brad at M&P Steering in Gillingham Kent. They can do anything and everything. I have used him for 20yrs and he knows his stuff and very competitive prices. He recon'd my 2wd cos rack and reworked it to run on my v6 24v setup Top Bloke

NO JEANS EVER FOR AN INTERVIEW!

An effort has to be made, I interview around 8 times a year, everyone has to be suited.

Yep just did mine bit fiddly but piece of piss really took hour or so to do! Kit was off ebay but as said above you can buy the same kit from ford as all ford racks use the same universal kit
