Hi chaps.
After many years of hunting and browsing on eBAy I finally found one on eBay that a guy had as a project and didn't want to continue with it. He said it was 95% finished so with my bits it'll be 98%. I might give it one run to see it bezz around again but I worry I might break it
£50, what a bargain when they were new these were £450.
They were bought out 1999 so parts are incredibly hard to get hold of. These are slightly bigger than 1:10 but not as big as 1:8. Even the wheels are slightly bigger that 1:10 which I did buy but looked tiny in comparison.
With the parts I had and combining them after a thorough clean and re-grease right down to the diff cogs I am nearly there already with just some servo rods, battery holder and fix up of the shell to go after only having it a week. That'll be when I come home from work later in the year I think.
Any way enough of the dit here's some photo's
What was left of mine.

With a Scooby shell which I think was the last Superten shell for sale back along.

It came with it's original box and the instructions too.

The wheels just needed a rub down with 1200 sandpaper and have come out mint. Might give them a light spray of gloss white as the pores of the plastic from thus far only sanding them are letting in the finger print dirt a little.
Before

After

Suprisingly I didn't get a telling off for using the utility for a clean up

However the engine degreaser I have used which is brilliant has reacted with the sink in our utility room and it has stained it some how??? Oooooop!!!!

As I said the shell needs a massive amount of attention but I reckon I can make it look ok, considering these things do get battered about.

The alloys don't go with this shell

Yep. Will do. Going to order some 1:10 decals I have just managed to find and see if the size deference is obvious. Lucky the lights on the current one are ok so the rest won't matter too much. Repairing the front bumper needs a think through though.
