Initial thoughts; some sort of blockage to your heater matrix??.......has it been bypassed stopping water from "entering the matrix"?? (sounds 2 much like a film )

proberly the heater matrix mate, flushing it rarely fixes it, other than that make sure when u turn the nob onto hot the cable moves what clips onto the heater box can be knocked off with getting in and out of the car and could be on cold!.

Make sure the cable is connected to the temp control and also to the temp flap lever on the heater box!
