I'm a new member here but my partner is a huge Ford fan and has a few different models. His prized baby sits under cover in the garage, no not me, but his xr4i and has been there for over 2 decades !! Anyway I have a question that maybe some of you could help answer.....he has an escort kombi L with windows which is diesel which he swears is a very rare car , any ideas of how many of these models are left still on the road today ? I will try to upload a pic but have to hope I don't suffer a blond moment

I had a couple

mk3 1.3 2door estate
mk4 2 door diesel estate (last I saw of it my friend had fitted a rs turbo kit to it)

my mate had a maroon 2 door as well but no idea where that went

 

That's a good useful site I'd not heard about so cheers for that ...... It says there were 4 recorded last year so they're not as common as I thought , which makes the old man right but I don't need to tell him that .... Lol

 

I'll upload some pics for you over the next week once I find them or get him to pull it out of hiding to take newer ones . He was a huge fan of them and once owned 12 of them at one point !! Ha ! A little excessive if you ask me. He also has a container full of the original parts that he brought up back in the day, just so he'd never need to worry about finding spares
