Default Heater Not Working ST170

This is a 03 plate ST170

Recently I've got no heat coming out of the blower. The air flow itself is fine, works at all speeds just not heat.

Checked water levels etc but I'm not an expert (obviously). Any pointers about how to fix?

Possible temp sensor, common for them to go wrong, I have also heard of fuses and resistors being at fault, buit not sure if that would apply if the air flow is working perfectly.

if the heater speeds are working but no hot air could be a thermostat issue or worst still a matrix or if you have basic style twist knob to select heat a snapped cable connection on rear of it

Hi

I've just topped up the coolant and when I have been running the engine it is starting to get slightly warm now, however it is not giving out the heat you would normally expect.

Looks like the heater is working but below capacity. Do you thin there could be a blockage somewhere?

the matrix is where the heater gets its heat but a dodgy thermostat will also cause poor circulation

Also when you topped it up did you make sure there wasnt any airlocks in the system, Also if you needed to top coolant up, means you might have a leak, Check your thermostat housing as they common to start leaking,
