Default Escort rs turbo problem child !

Hi guys I've just finished putting my rs turbo engine back in everything's all wired up correctly I have this problem the only way I can get the fuel pump to work is if I cross over the pin manually inside the relay have I wired up something incorrectly ? Or is it a different problem Before someone says try a different relay I have 6 of them and one must work lol

If it's an s2 try the fuse that is labeled heated seats. Also check the earth that bolts to to the wipper motor.

Disconnect the cold start valve under the inlet manifold,if the metering unit isn't working it will fire up with the fuel from the cold start but will only run a few secs.
If it doesn't start plug it in and try again,if it starts then I'd say start looking at the metering head.

If its mfi I would have a good look for any air leaks, oil cap on and dipstick in properly, breathers all fitted and connected properly.

Every one I've seen is supposed to have a stop return valve on the vacuum pipe from breather to inlet ?

Don't know if it would start at all with a hose disconnected.
What about a kinked fuel supply line?

Nah the fuel lines seem fine got loads of spare ones I can try but it did fire up just not for long so can I run a pipe from inlet to the breather or does it definatly have to have a stop return valve on it ?

An update , so I spent the day faffing around with it , got fuel to the cold start only changed injectors blew out pipes bridges the cts cleaned all other sensors , so I'm guessing it's down to the meetering head , I spent hours cranking undoing the bolts trying to get fuel through , just as I was about to give up I took a bolt out of the meetering head it's one that has nothing attached took that out Undid the injector banjo bolt hey presto there's pressure there do the random bolt thing back up no pressure again .....the other thing I went round the sensors for the meetering head with a multi meter seems in only get 0.03 on the multimeter could it be the electronic actuator thing not opening up to let fuel through ?? Any ideas please , loosing my he will to live ....

Are you desperate to have the PATS working? I would just earth the side of the starter relay that the PATS would earth when detecting the chip. 1 wire. 10 minutes work. Running car.

Just a thought.
