We don't know each other mate but man oh man I'm glad you're able to be posting about surviving that brutal looking accident! I hope you have a speedy recovery and a BIG pat on the back to those BMW engineers who designed that car!
Glad your okay Kev, if you need anything give us a shout. But if these photos show anything. Its just how well made new cars are. We all love the classics but I for one am glad you were in something newer or this might be a different thread all together. Get Well soon mate

on another note, will you be able to transfer the plate over or is that done with the car?
I have literally just done this today..
If you have not done it yet it takes 5 mins online and costs Ł80. At the end you'll have the certificate number and in a week the new V5c with the old plate back on..
So long as its not been scrapped yet and it's still taxed you should be fine.. All you need is the 11 digit V5c doc ref number, the reg number and postcode of reg'd keeper and a card to pay Ł80 of course..
From what I can see, structure looks to have done it's job, so fair play BMW. When I see things like this, glad I got my Mum a modern car, her trusty Escort Mk2 was solid, but not that solid!
Hope the recovery is going well, good to see DVLA on top form, send them the pics to confirm it's off the road!!!
