Not many RS's used daily these days. Most are wrapped up in winter
Yeah over on the focus rs oc forum folk seam to be wrapping up their mk2 and even talking about only using their mk3s in the dry... Now I like to look after my cars but they need to be driven
Picked it up and pleased that I did, something different for a change
Only thing that puzzles me is, you can get good power out of a Focus so why go to the extra expense of YBing one ?
Well done on your feature bud
Careful sinbad. Youll upset the cossie boys😂

I buy my cars to drive them not look at them. Done 40k or so in this one. To good a driver to not drive it. No point having a drivers car to polish it and put back in the garage.

I've wondered that myself mate as the focus RS engine is pretty good, only reason I can think of is you can gain RWD or 4x4 and the YB looks awesome in any car.
To be fair I've seen it done to more base model focus' so maybe the owner already had a YB sitting bored in the garage and thought that a modern and stiff shell would make a perfect home.

Being a Cossie owner I thought you would know why . Rust, although admitedly the Focus seems to be fairing better here than older Fords. I know my dad's XR3i when it was 10 years old had seen a welder just about everywhere underneath.
Saying that, I have seen the odd rusty Mk1 Focus now but that could have been from accident damage. It is fair point about the Mk2 and 3s however . I do now and again consider getting a Mk1 FRS.

I've considered a mk1 but I'd keep it tucked up with the cosworth too. The modern ones don't seam too bad, see more golfs with rust but I guess only time will tell.
I think fords get a bad rep with the rust, most old cars rust away.
Not seen it yet Jamie and shop I go into doesn't bloody sell it. You still fancy a hippo?
Can purchase it online mate as a digital copy.
Yes mate going to break it in the next few month and see where the mk2 prices are before i commit to buying one
